Linear

Linear is the rare project tool that developers keep using, because every interaction is keyboard-driven and instant. Issues, cycles, projects, and roadmaps are modelled cleanly without the configuration maze of older trackers. The free tier covers small teams.

Where it falls short

It is opinionated about workflow, so teams with unusual processes will fight it, and reporting is thinner than enterprise tools.

Alternatives in Productivity

• Notion
Documents, databases, and wikis in one flexible workspace.
• Obsidian
Local-first notes that are just Markdown files.
• Todoist
Task management that stays out of the way.
